Courses
This server is configured identically to the redmine VM. See redmine.
Notable differences include:
- No redmine installed (obviously)
- uses postgresql instead of mysql
Has CMS installed
Notes on the migration to CentOS
How to migrate the database
psql> CREATE ROLE cms LOGIN
psql> CREATE DATABASE cms OWNER cms
$ psql cms < database dump
Setting the proper SElinux context
- restorecon -R /opt/CMS
Updating the CMS
When a new version was loaded with a git-pull as root, certain files change from apache:apache to root:root ownership. Since the /opt/CMS/site permits write acces only to the owner, apache is not able to create new courses anymore. To fix this, execute "chown -R apache:apache /opt/CMS/site", also verify that all selinux labels are still ok with "restorecon -R /opt/CMS", ggf. add -nv vor a verbose dry run.
