Introduction

When Oz is started, a number of procedures are predefined.   In this document, we describe these procedures except the procedures supporting window programming (see Window Programming in DFKI Oz [7] ) and open programming (see Open Programming in DFKI Oz [10] ). There may be more procedures predefined depending on the Oz implementation you are running. The additional procedures of the DFKI Oz System are specified in DFKI Oz User's Manual [8] . The predefined procedures described in this document are grouped into modules as follows:

• a module for every type of value,
• the module Solve,
• the module FD,
• the module Loop,
• the module Thread,
• the module Time, and
• the module DataStructure.
